Product Review!

Hey Guys! It's been SOOOOOOO long and I am the only one to blame :( Don't hate me please! I've gotta start organizing my life better so that i am able to get on here more. I'm here today to just do a quick product review for you ladies. It was a product I was excited about but sadly did not work out as nicely as i would have hoped. So the product you ask??
This product was sent to me for review purposes from Tomoson.com I received the Somasix Refrigerator Magnets for Kids which is stated to be good for ages 3 and up. (Which also might be part of my issue) So anyway i received these magnets and placed my daughter (who is 8 months old) in front of the fridge to watch what she would do... right away i noticed that the magnets were not glued in properly and she was able to pick them up and out would fall the magnet and of course, she is 8 months old so whatever is on the ground is fair game in her mind, so in her mouth it went. I began to go thru all the magnets and 9 times out of 10 i was able to just tip the magnet over and it would fall out NOT SAFE! Yes the product is geared for those 3 and up but 3 year olds are also curious and everything ends up in their mouths anyway. I love the bright colors of the magnets and LOVE that they come in both capital and lowercase letters. I really wanted to like these but sadly, i just do not have the time to go and glue all the magnets in. Ugh! So, sorry for the negative nelly post but ya girl just needs to be honest.

Influenster Silk'n Vox Box

I was so ecstatic when I received the email that I'd be receiving a Vox box and then when I learned that it was a product valued at over 300$ I was even more excited.

The product I recieved is the Silk'n Flash & Go express which is one of the newer models of the line I believe. You can find one for yourself at your local kohls! They have it there for $299.00. Great bang for your buck. Once I use this product a little more I will be doing a more in depth review of how it's used and what I like or dislike (if anything).

Stay tuned. And thanks to Influenster and silk' for the opportunity!

Pinktober!

The start of October is my favorite time of year, the air is changing, it finally getting chilly out, the leaves will soon be changing. The start of October used to just mean the beginning of fall for me.. but after this past year September and October have a little different and more important meanings than they used to.

This past February I was diagnosed with stage 1c Ovarian Cancer, I am a 24 year old "healthy" as in never go to the doctor, female. I only discovered this news after learning that I was pregnant and scheduling my first ultrasound where incidently my tumor was found. I am now cancer-free after a pretty extensive surgery that resulted in me losing my left ovary and fallopian tube. But myself and my baby girl made it through surgery unscathed, minus a few staples (like 20 OUCH!)

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month which means a lot to me for obvious reasons, and followed by that is Pinktober! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I am so excited to announce that I am partnered with BrandBacker and Glamulet to bring forth more awareness this month and every month for Women's Cancers.

Glamulet is a fashion brand that specializes in ADORABLE accessories they carry a wide range of jewelry in many different styles and finishes. A few things they carry are rings, necklaces, charms and bracelets. You'll just have to trust me on this and head on over to their site to check them out!!
Click here to check out their site!! A little added plus.. every charm purchased from the breast cancer line donates 50% to breast cancer awareness!! Grabbing some cute gems AND helping out a great cause, you can't get much better than that.

Sadly every 45 minutes a woman dies from breast cancer. We need to support this research as by hopefully someday another woman will not have to suffer this awful disease! Let me take this time as well to remind all women no matter what age to get YEARLY CHECKUPS do not ever let yourself skip a year.

Join myself and Glamulet in supporting this great cause! Cancer affects us all in some form or another and we all need to combine forces to combat cancer and make it a thing of the past!

Check out their great cause! Here

Pudding Affair.

Ok. Stop what you are doing... stop right now. Go get you sum puddin! Let me start by saying.. it is not the easiest to find. Ended up going to upwards of 6 stores and finally found it at Big Y. I live in Connecticut so not sure if we are just pudding neglected or what.. needless to say, once you find it give it a hug.. go ahead. I'll wait...

I am usually a box pudding gal, I won't mention any brand names... but I'm sure you all know what i'm talking about...but as soon as I tasted this I knew my life would never be the same. Let me just say that I am sure I got many side eyes when I was standing in the checkout line with all four flavors piled up to my chin.. no shame.

These are the most creamy, rich, thick treats I have ever tasted. The dark chocolate flavor is DIVINE! Vanilla bean is a close second! Not a big fan of salted caramel in general so those went to my mom who said they were delicious. Overall you need to get these!

They are on sale this week at Big Y for $2.99 now that I think of it... I need to go indulge a little more. Here I go... off to indulge.

Take Care of Them Pearly Whites with Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash!

Tonight on the blog we're talkin stank breath, and tartar, and plaque OH MY!

Haha okay in all seriousness, we're all adults and have responsibilities and places to be and hands to shake so we have to make sure our breath is not revolting! That would be a mighty raunchy first impression am I right?

So fret no more! Crest is here to save the day with its new (to me) product Crest Pro-Health Advanced with extra whitening. Ugh what a mouthful! I received my product free for review from one of my favorite sites Bzzagent.com but you can pick you up some at your local Walmart and in the oral care aisle.... obviously lol.

What I enjoy most about this product is that it is alcohol free and I know that might be a deal breaker for some but for me my poor mouth is just too sensitive for all that burn. I've noticed that after giving birth to my daughter my mouth and gums have been so sensitive! I guess its a legit thing that happens with hormones and all that so who knows.. I was able to swish around for longer than usual ensuring that I was really letting the product work. I have not noticed any whiter teeth but that might come with time.

After brushing my teeth and using mouthwash I always do the slide test, where I take my tounge and slide it across my teeth to feel for any missed spots and surprisingly it felt just from the dentist clean. Run do not walk to your local Walmart and give this stuff a try! It is so worth it.

Here is a link to the product on Walmart.com and at my local Walmart it is priced fairly at $6.95

OZ Naturals

Pro-Retaxinol 2.5

Product Review!

Check out more products here! http://www.oznaturals.com

Hey everyone! I'm bringing you today, something I have never reviewed on my blog before... a face serum! The folks over at Oz naturals were nice enough to send me over a bottle of their 2.5% retinol serum! Let me start by saying I highly highly believe in starting anti-aging products the earlier the better. I am only 24 but I am always searching for anti wrinkle and collagen boosting products.

Before I go into my personal opinion of this product I am just going to pull the key claims from the companies website regarding this product.

  • Our CLINICAL STRENGTH 2.5% Retinol Serum is the highest concentration of retinol available without a prescription. It includes Astaxanthin and Vitamin E, which provide unmatched antioxidant properties and activate collagen and elastin production.
  • Cruelty free
  •  Does not contain alcohol, parabens or sulfates and is safe for all skin types.
  • Made in the USA
  • OZ Naturals 2.5% Retinol Serum with ASTAXANTHIN is proven to minimize hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and greatly improve texture and tone
Pretty impressive claims huh? So.. I have been using this product for over 2 weeks and I am pleasantly surprised, I always apply serum after my toner (I read somewhere that the trick to applying any skincare is that you start with the thinnest products first and finish off with more thick moisturizing creams, ex: cleanse face-apply toner-serum-eye cream-moisturizer/night-day cream.
This product has no scent which I LOVE nothing worse then a product smell lingering on your face all day. The bottle come with a spray pump which puts out a decent amount of product on each pump.

*This is one pump! Definetly enough to spread over your whole face, remember.. less is more!

The serum absorbs so fast and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The directions included with the serum say as follows

"Serums are delivery systems for ingredients. Cleanse exfoliate and pat skin dry. Apply toner before the serum. Apply a small amount to entire face, neck and decollete. Allow to dry. Follow with any OZ Naturals moisturizer. Can be applied daily and under makeup as well.

******Must apply sunscreen daily while using this product, as skin becomes very sensitive to UV light, and could cause hyper pigmentation when skin is left unprotected.

I picked my sample up on amazon.com where you can find yours for $24.99 and ships free with Prime! Here is the link that will bring you to this product :)

If you try this product let me know how you like it I'd love to know!!
Thanks for reading :) any questions regarding this or any product let me know :)

Seventh Generation baby wipes!

Hey yall!

Just coming on here for an impromptu product review (hehe I'm a poet and didn't even know it)

I belong to the online Seventh Generation community and occasionally I will get sent some products to review (for free) in exchange for my honest opinion. This post is no different...

I was sent the free and clear baby wipes from seventh generation, first of all let me say I don't know of this is how they come packaged normally but I love it. These packets are so convenient to just toss in your diaper bag and they barely take up any room.

Now my girly has a slightly sensitive tooshy, she gets a little red if the wipes are too rough so I was hesitant to try them but to my relief we had no issues. Now we use pampers, and occasionally Huggies.. Between the too of those brands I tend to gravitate towards pampers cause these seem to hold up better, no worse fear than your finger busting thru a wipe when you've got a massive explosion to clean up YUCK! But in comparison to these seventh generation wipes my pampers fail in thickness. These wipes were so thick! I got so much more use out of one wipe than I usually do and I appreciated the cute ducky design. And my girl still hasn't broken out from these which is a huge plus! They were moist enough and cleaned up everything (ick) and the smell is very fresh.

Overall I am a fan and think we will be permanently switching to seventh generation wipes!

*although I received these for free all opinions expressed are my own.*
